Final Fantasy XI Adds New Voracious Resurgence Chapter, Preps For 20th Anniversary Event
Final Fantasy XI continues its Voracious Resurgence storyline and rolls out a new Ambuscade rotation in its latest game update. Players have had the chance to complete two new Voracious Resurgence in as many months and now they have access to a new questline that advances the ongoing narrative.
New monthly Records of Eminence objectives have also been rotated in along with new Ambuscade enemies. The encounter has also received several tweaks and adjustments with the latest patch.
In addition to new quests and challenges, Square Enix has also brought back Cornelia’s alter ego which players can unlock for limited time by completing the quest called “Trust”. Those who’ve already completed the quest will automatically receive the alter ego when they log-in.
Meanwhile, the team is gearing up for the game’s 20th anniversary event which will kick off next week with a new login and playtime campaign. Players who earn 500 points during the campaign will be able to unlock the Noble Chocobo Mount. Players will also be able to earn various rewards during the anniversary event including an exclusive Moogle Hat.
The 20th anniversary festivities officially begin on May 16th which coincides with the long-running MMORPG’s initial release in Japan.
