F2P Lobby Based Shooter Black Squad Begins Early Access, Hits 13K Concurrent

We're a little late with this one, but Neowiz games launched Black Squad into early access on July 28th, 2017. The core gameplay in Black Squad is similar to other lobby based Korean tactical shooters, so think Combat Arms / Alliance of Valiant Arms. Since launching on early access, the game has already hit a peak concurrent playerbase of 13,480 according to Steamcharts.

As of this post the game has about 11,000 players online, which is quite incredible for a free to play Korean shooter. I've personally played dozens of these games and while I enjoyed the core mechanics of Black Squad, it didn't seem to anything too different from other lobby based shooters. Still, it's free to play and quite fun, so if you haven't tried it yet give it a try!
