EverQuest Announces New Expansion

Over 15 year old MMORPG, EverQuest, has announced a completely new expansion coming to the game. New raid zones are going to be added for level 105 players, as well as two instanced raid zones with a minimum entry of level 75 that are "level agnostic". These two new zones known as the Plane of Fear and the Plane of Hate are going to have a level sync system set up that syncs all players to the highest level character in the group.

EverQuest seems to be making a massive push, announcing that all players who pre-purchase or purchase the expansion will receive all previous expansion content as well. This will allow prospective players to immediately catch up to the game expansions wise by only purchasing a single expansion.

The release date for the full expansion reveal and pre-orders are scheduled for October 1st and players will no longer be able to purchase The Darkened Sea CE expansion after that date. EQ is currently holding a sale on The Darkened Sea for players who want to pick up the collectors edition rewards.
