EverQuest 2’s Coffers And Coffins Update Adds New Raids, A Dungeon, And More Spooky Quests

EverQuest 2 players continue their spooky adventures in the Visions of Vetrovia expansion as the Coffers and Coffins update arrives on the live servers. Players can now dive deeper into the secrets surrounding Castle Vacrul as they go up against an army of witches, vampires, and other supernatural threats.

“With time, we've all finally discovered the truth about Castle Vacrul deep in the heart of Vetrovia. But something else much more sinister and frightening has also come to light. Whispers of undying witches, infamous vampires, and hordes of bloodthirsty minions plaguing the region have been heard by those brave enough to listen. If you dare, head back into Forlorn Gist to discover the perils and great rewards that await.”

The update comes with new story quests and opens the new Merchant’s Den dungeon, the Akashic Incursion Raid in Forlorn Gist, and the Haunting Presence Raid in Castle Vacrul. The Akashic Incursion raid will pit players against seven new bosses that range from Tier 1 to Tier 4 while the Haunting Presence raid will feature four new Tier 4 bosses and one Tier 5 boss.

Players must have completed the Visions of Vetrovia quests on at least one character before they can enter the new raids.

The update also adds new Tradeskill quests and collections, merchant items, achievements, and book collection, and kicks off a new Overseer Season. The full patch notes can be found on the EverQuest 2 official forums.
