EverQuest 2 Kicks Off A Prelude Event For Its Still-Unannounced Expansion

While Darkpaw Games is still keeping the next EverQuest 2 expansion tightly under wraps, the studio is paving the way for its release with a prelude event called Secrets of the Sands.

The Secrets of the Sands event comes with new adventure, tradeskill, and collection quests, and a new zone called The Fractured Cache. Players also have the chance to obtain 64 new pieces of equipment and home decorations by gaining reputation with the Nomads of Ro. To participate in the event, simply check your in-game mail for the call to assist Faezoth in Qeynos and Silrena in Freeport in their efforts to help the winged Aerakyn return home.

The event is now open to all characters and will run until the unnamed expansion’s launch, which is expected to happen at some point this year.
