Enplex Games Quietly Shuts Down Population Zero

population zero group combat bannerPopulation Zero has fulfilled the promise of its ill-omened title when Enplex Games quietly pulled the plug on the early access survival MMO, literally bringing the game’s population to zero.

According to Steam players and reports from several MMO news sites, the game’s servers went offline weeks ago and never came back online. Launching the game client also brings up an error message that redirects users to the game’s website which has also been quietly shut down.

The news doesn’t come as a shock, considering that the game’s population has been in the single figures since the summer of 2020, following a rocky launch and a wave of negative reviews on Steam. The developers have also been ominously quiet for almost a year.
