En Masse Reveal TERA's BuddyUp System

TERA's upcoming Storm Season update is adding a new feature called "BuddyUp" and En Masse have just released the details of how the system works. Once a month, players over level 40 can generate a BuddyUp code that can be used by up to three friends as a referral code so that both players receive rewards at various milestones. Once the referred friend joins and creates a character, the referrer will automatically be added to their friends list. Players must then play together to level up their "Friendship Level." Every ten Friendship Levels, both players will receive significant rewards, such as friendly feasts, friendly noctenium infusions, mounts, Village Atlases, and more.

Friendship Levels actually appear to be a universal concept but the rewards are specific to BuddyUp mentors and those they refer. At Friendship Level 3, you are given the ability to teleport directly to your friend—if they accept your teleportation request, of course—and, as such, BuddyUp mentors and those they refer begin at Friendship Level 3.
