Embers Adrift Teases Upcoming Free-Play Weekend And Events, Confirms ‘No PvP’ Ever

The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and Embers Adrift is keeping the spring vibes going with some exciting events. After releasing its Shrieks in the Deep patch in late April, the studio will be hosting several community events throughout May and teasing a free play weekend sometime in June. Keep your eyes peeled for the exact date!
The team behind Embers Adrift has been hard at work adding new features to the game. In its latest State of the Game report, the studio highlighted the Grimstone Canyons and Forgotten Depths zones, which are now reportedly teeming with new creatures.
“With hordes of new creatures spilling out from the Forgotten Depths and the Stonecoats dominating this part of the Canyons it’s no wonder the Grimstone Marauders have only a tentative grasp on this territory. Come explore the higher ground of these canyons to see what new challenges await.”
One thing you won't find in Embers Adrift? PvP. In a recent dev video, the studio confirmed that the game will never be a PvP game. Instead, the focus is on balancing the game around PvE and player collaboration and is a refreshing take on game design that puts the focus on cooperation rather than competition.
