Embers Adrift Opens QA Server, Previews Grimstone Canyon Zone And Dice-Dueling

The Embers Adrift dev team is making good on their promise to fill out the PvE MMORPG’s endgame with new content and offers a preview of the new Grimstone Canyon zone and all the trappings that come with it.

Grimstone Canyon is a Level 30+ players located to the northeast of Dryfoot and is currently in internal testing along with new creatures and new abilities. Stormhaven Studios has also opened a QA server to allow players with active accounts to take all upcoming content for a test run before they go live. The new zone, new quests, and a new dice-dueling mini-game will be available for testing on the new test server in an upcoming patch.

The first and lowest area of the Grimstone Canyon, however, is now live on the QA server if you want to check it out.

“The beautiful red-walled canyons north of Dryfoot are marred only by the Grimstone Marauders dwelling within – earning them the name ‘Grimstone Canyons,” Stormhaven revealed. “These marauders are even worse than their Drybone counterparts – if that was possible. They are ruthless beyond measure and will do anything to get more ‘slagrock,’ their term for ember ore.”

“The views you’ll find in Grimstone Canyon are quite stunning, but don’t let them distract you from your surroundings. If you don’t pay attention you’re prone to be ambushed by any manner of vicious creatures. From the fearsome Redmanes to the deadly scorpions that call these canyons home,” the studio added.

Stormhaven also announced that it will be transitioning to monthly content updates starting this month which will be interspersed with smaller weekly patches to deploy hotfixes, balance passes, and systems updates.
