Embers Adrift’s New Proving Grounds Offers A Fun And Safe Way To Spill Each Other’s Blood

Embers Adrift may be a team-focused game at its heart, but that doesn’t mean that players can’t spill each other’s blood for fun. The newly opened PvP Proving Grounds offers a safe and controlled environment to do just that, allowing players to engage in 1-on-1, party vs. party, and free-for-all battles with no consequences whatsoever.

Players who enter the arena will automatically be flagged for PvP and will gain resistance to debuffs and crowd control effects. They’ll also be immune to status effects like Lull, Fear, and Threat. Armor damage will also be disabled in the arena and backpacks will be dropped outside of the arena on death with all of its contents intact.

Developer Stormhaven Studios can’t stress enough that the Proving Grounds is just for fun and that they have no intention of rebalancing the game around PvP. They are, however, open to the possibility of expanding the arena with new maps and maybe even obstacles in the future but they’ll be lower on their priority list.

The Proving Grounds officially opened its doors earlier this week alongside a handful of fixes and quality-of-life improvements, the details of which can be found on the Embers Adrift official forums.
