Elyon Cosmetic Packages Now On Sale, Includes 3-Day Headstart
Earlier this month, Kakao Games dropped a huge bomb when it announced that Elyon will be free-to-play instead of buy-to-play when it launches in the west. The surprise announcement more than made up for the team’s decision to push back the game’s launch to October 20th, which in hindsight was a good move on Kakao’s part considering all the attention that New World is currently getting.
As for going free-to-play, Kakao has transitioned to microtransactions starting with the sale of cosmetic item packages priced at $30 for the Wayfarer and Expansion Packages and $40 for the Expedition Package. All packages include a 72-hour headstart ahead of the game’s official launch.
“Pre-purchasing any package will grant you access to Elyon 72 hours prior to the official game launch, starting October 17! You will also be able to create your character early, starting October 13, as well as receive a special pre-purchase-only in-game title.”
Those who pre-ordered the game before the free-to-play shift also get access to the headstart and can still request for their purchase or convert it to premium currency to use later in the game.
