Elsword Rolls Out a Summer of Fast-Track Progression and Raid Tuning

Side-scrolling action MMO Elsword is kicking off its annual summer update, offering a bundle of time-limited events aimed at pushing newcomers straight to endgame while giving veterans a gentler raid grind. Running from July 30 through September 23, the patch drops an over-powered loaner weapon, rapid leveling shortcuts, and a round of boss nerfs.

First released in North America in 2011, Elsword blends beat-’em-up combat with MMO progression and an ever-expanding roster of anime-styled characters. KOG Games has leaned on seasonal events to keep its player base engaged, but this year’s lineup is unusually aggressive about compressing the early grind. Here is what’s on offer:

• Submergence of Abyss weapon loan: A fully staged +11 version is handed out for 60 days. Completing daily quests during the event can convert it into a permanent item.
• Quick Start character boost: Create one fresh character per cycle and clear five dungeons to jump straight to level 99 and final job advancement. The first cycle ends August 26, the second runs August 27–September 23.
• Combat Power Boost: Free +10 Tenebrous Armor at max Reforge, Ice Burner outfit pieces, and accessory sets. Accounts below 200 El Resonance Points are bumped to that threshold automatically.
• Raid rebalancing: Endgame bosses receive health and defense reductions, with clearer mechanics aimed at reducing fatigue and smoothing the learning curve for new raiders.
• Future roadmap: KOG teases a new region and a round of character balance changes later in the summer.
