Elite Dangerous: Horizons Beta Now Live

The Elite Dangerous: Horizons Beta is now live for all players who pre-ordered the Beta access package. It went live earlier today and was met with such a large rush of players that the servers "went boom." Granted you can get in and have purchased the Beta access package, you can now experience landing on planets and exploring them with SRVs.
The full patch notes for this update have been released here alongside the Beta launch. The majority of them have to do with the various intricacies of allowing players to land on surfaces. However, this update also marks the addition of HTC Vive support and the release of the 64-bit client.
Those interested can still pre-order the expansion via the official site. The Beta access package costs $74.99. The standard package is $59.99 and will allow access when the expansion fully releases in the next month or so.
