Elite Dangerous Devs Promise To Address Core Update 14 Issues Early Next Year

Frontier Developments has pushed out its last Discover Scanner newsletter of the year which offers a brief look at the new things that came to Elite Dangerous this year and what’s coming early next year.
The headliners for 2022 include Frontier’s decision to stop development on the console version of the sci-fi MMO to focus exclusively on the PC version and the release of Update 14 late last month which marked the start of the Thargoid invasion. As for next year, players can expect an “interim update” to arrive in early 2023 which will focus on addressing a “core selection” of known issues in Update 14.
For now, the developers will be signing off for the holidays with promises to reveal more information about the update when they come back. “And with that, Commanders, from all of us - we wish you a very happy Holidays ahead and look forward to rejoining you again from the week commencing January 3, 3309,” wrote the devs.
In the meantime, the Elite Dangerous holiday event is still in full swing with Christmas cosmetics, special paint jobs, and a big pile of credits up for grabs for players who help the Corrs Toy Emporium deliver their products to various locations around the game world.
The full event details can be found on the Elite Dangerous official site.
🎄 Another year is set to conclude in the Elite Dangerous galaxy, as we face 3309, fast on the approach.
