Elite: Dangerous Beta Tests Close Quarters Combat

Elite: Dangerous began the beta test of their new close quarters combat (CQC) mode, taking place in cosmic deathmatch arenas. Jump into the cockpit of a fighter ship and duke it out for rewards and glory. The beta test also includes new starships: the Imperial Eagle, Federal Gunship, and Federal Assault Ship.

The combat inclusion is part of the 1.4 CQC Beta build that includes a lengthy change log. All players who have Beta access, or who are Lifetime Expansion Pass members, are able to opt into the Beta and test the new systems.
