Elder Scrolls Online Sheds Light On The Lore Surrounding High Isle’s Systres Archipelago

ZeniMax Online Studios has dropped a new Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle preview trailer that offers a little more insight into the background of lore of the Systres Archipelago.
The short video tells the story of a plague that was unleashed on Tamriel by the infamous Sload, a race of Slugmen that inhabit the islands of Thras in the Abecean Sea and one of the most hated races in all of Tamriel. This led to the formation of the All Flags Navy whose massive fleet was dispatched from High Isle to combat the threat.
Upon securing victory, the members of the All Flag Navy signed a pact to ensure that High Isle would stand as a symbol of kinship and prosperity for all time. Over the next few decades, the Breton nobles island began to cement their positions of power and the pact was all but forgotten as the noble houses contended with each other for dominance marking the start of the Three Banners War.
The video also foreshadows the creation of the knightly Ascendant Order and their plans to stop the peace talks and create a utopian society under their rule.
“The Systres Archipelago’s noble Breton houses have controlled the islands for centuries. Now, a threat from the mainland terrorizes the isles and hints at deeper trouble to come.”
We’ve still got a few weeks left before High Isle officially launches on June 6th on PC and Mac and on June 21st on consoles, so expect to see a few more preview videos and blogs leading up to the new chapter’s release. In the meantime, you can check out the new video below, or you can also head over to the Elder Scrolls Online official site for more info.
