Elder Scrolls Online Pushes Back Next-Gen ‘Console Enhanced’ Version By A Week
June is going to be a big month for Elder Scrolls Online with the PC release of Blackwood slated for June 1 and console release following a week after. The Console Enhanced version of the game for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will also be launching next month but will be delayed by a week so that the team can focus on the Blackwood launch. Console Enhanced was initially scheduled to launch alongside the Blackwood console release but has been pushed back to June 15.
“In an abundance of caution, we are moving the ESO: Console Enhanced launch out a week,” tweeted the dev team. “We are doing this so we are not launching Update 30 (Blackwood) at the same time as Console Enhanced and can give both our undivided attention. The new date for ESO: Console Enhanced on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 is now Tuesday, June 15.”
The ESO Console Enhanced version will allow the game to run natively on next-gen consoles and harness their power to significantly improve performance and visual quality. Console Enhanced will be offered as a free upgrade to existing players and will be available to new players immediately after purchasing a copy of the game.
