Elder Scrolls Online Offers A Tour Of The Scions Of Ithelia DLC’s Oathsworn Pit Dungeon
ZeniMax is back like clockwork to follow up its Elder Scrolls Online DLC announcement with a preview of the first of its two dungeons. For Scions of Ethelia, that’s the Oathsworn Pit dungeon, a training ground for the loyal orc followers of the Daedric Prince Malacath, a.k.a. the God of Curses and plenty of other ominous titles.
The Pit has been invaded by a group of power-hungry Wood Elves called the Recollection. Should you come across them, you’ll be given the choice to join their army or die. Malacath’s followers unsurprisingly chose to fight with casualties mounting on both sides and the God of Curses wants you to avenge the fallen in his name.
“Malacath’s an interesting prince. He’s the Lord of Ash and Bone, the Oathbreaker, and the God of Curses, but to Orcs, he’s Mauloch the Lord of the Sworn Oath—Defender of the Betrayed,” says the devs. “With this dungeon, we explore how Orcs view Mauloch. He might be a vengeful and bloody Daedric Prince—and the Oathsworn reflect this too—but when his followers’ trust is betrayed, he’ll make sure that dishonor is repaid.”
Players who successfully complete Malacath’s task will unlock new achievement and will be rewarded with collectibles and powerful items, including three unique item sets, a monster helm, and the Cinders of Anthelmir light armor set.
The Oathsworn Pit dungeon will be opening its gates alongside the Bedlam Veil dungeon when Scions of Ithelia launches on PC/Mac on March 11 and on PlayStation and Xbox consoles on March 26.
