The base version of The Elder Scrolls Online is free to play from now until November 13 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The free to play event doesn't include any of the expansions, but will give players a good idea of what to expect with ESO. Anyone interested in playing after the trial period can purchase the base game and the Morrowind chapter for $9.99 or the Elsweyr bundle for $59.99.

While ESO is technically buy to play, the game adds quite a bit of content regularly which can be purchased as DLC through the game's cash shop or obtained with an optional monthly membership. The Elder Scrolls Online is one of the most popular MMORPGs in the West after World of Warcraft, RuneScape, and Final Fantasy XIV.
