Survival MMO Earth: Revival Starts Closed Beta Testing This Weekend

Survival sandbox fans have something to look forward to this weekend as Chinese developer Nuverse kicks off closed beta testing for Earth: Revival, a sci-fi survival MMO set in a post-apocalyptic Earth ravaged by aliens.

“Set in 2112, Earth: Revival takes place on a ravaged and destroyed planet Earth, a result of an intergalactic conflict with a mysterious alien species. As Survivors of the war against the aliens, players will fight to reclaim Earth and restore what was lost.”

Like other survival MMOs, the game features a vast open world that players can freely explore to gather rations, as well as resources and materials that they can use to craft weapons and build their own cabins. The game will also feature raids, challenging boss battles, team-based tournaments, a battle royale mode, and social hubs scattered across the game world where they can meet up with other players that they meet out in the wilderness.

Earth: Revival was first revealed at Gamescom 2022 last month and will be running a closed beta test from September 2-18 on PC and Android. Pre-registration is now open for those who want to participate in the upcoming playtest for a chance to test out the new snowy wilderness biome as well as new PvP and PvEvP game modes. Pre-registered players will also be granted exclusive in-game rewards.
