EA And Middle-Earth Enterprises Announce New Lord Of The Rings Mobile Game

Electronic Arts and Middle-earth Enterprises (formerly Tolkien Enterrpises) have partnered to develop a new Lord of the Rings mobile game called The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle Earth. The upcoming game is a collectible RPG that offers a strategic, social-competitive experience as described in the official press release.

“The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth will feature immersive storytelling, turn-based combat, deep collection systems, and a wide roster of characters from across the vast universe of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Players battle through iconic stories from the world of Tolkien and take up the fight against the great evils of Middle-earth.”

Details are scarce at the moment although from the description it looks like it’s going to be some kind of gacha game. EA has yet to announce a launch window but a limited beta test is scheduled for selected regions sometime this summer.
