Dungeons And Dragons Online Adds New Quest Pack And Imbue Toggle System

Dungeons and Dragons Online gets a bunch of new quests and various gameplay changes as Update 57: Grip of the Hidden Hand lands on the D&D MMORPG’s servers.
The headliner for the update is the titular quest pack which continues the Planar Eyes narrative with five new quests for Level 16 players in Heroic and Level 33 in Legendary. The Grip of the Hidden Hand quest pack is free for those with active VIP subscriptions and can also be purchased from the DDO Store.
The update also introduces the new Imbue mechanic which replaces many of the existing procs from multiple abilities in the class enhancement trees. “An Imbue is a new type of toggle in DDO that adds extra damage to your attacks. This extra damage can be specific to certain weapon types, certain combat styles, or it can also be focused on melee or ranged,” Standing Stone Games explained.
“Imbues scale their damage with bonus Imbue Dice, although Imbues can also scale with things like Melee or Ranged Power,” the studio added. “You can only have one Imbue active at a time. Turning on a new Imbue will turn the existing Imbue off.”
Hit Points and Hit Point bonuses for various classes and enhancement trees have also been adjusted to favor new players and melee characters in Heroic play. Details can be found in the full Update 57 release notes on the Dungeons and Dragons Online official site.
