Dungeons And Dragons Online Explains What Happens After Reaching Level 30

A level cap increase has always been a big thing in Dungeons and Dragons Online, especially since it tries to stay true to the original D&D tabletop game which has traditionally been limited to just 20 levels. With the launch of the Isle of Dread expansion next month, the D&D-inspired MMORPG will not only be getting new dinosaur-themed content, it’s also going to get a level cap increase from 30 to 32.

Developer Standing Stone Games explains how they’ll be handling the increase which involves a new Legendary progression system. Here’s how it works:

“Once you have reached level 30 (meaning you have leveled up from level 29), you will begin to earn Legendary Experience toward your Legendary Levels! Every dungeon in the game that is currently Legendary will grant you Legendary XP. Legendary dungeons are those where the base CR is 30 or higher. Legendary level quests will continue to award Epic experience to Epic level characters. Once you have earned enough Legendary XP to level up you can speak to the Fatespinner in any of her locations to take your first Legendary Level.”

Each Legendary level gained will grant players more power and two additional Destiny Points. They’ll also earn new Feats, Destiny Feats, and Stat Points at the same rate as they did in Epic progression. Legendary Reincarnation will not be available although players can still reincarnate past level 30 using other forms, including Epic and Heroic True.

New Level 31 Legendary loot will also be introduced in Isle of Dread along with a new set of Level 32 basic augments. Cannith Crafting will also be updated to allow crafting of Level 31-32 items.

Isle of Dread arrives on PC/Mac on June 22nd. Pre-orders are still available starting at $39.99 for the Standard Edition all the way up to $129.99 for the Ultimate Fan Bundle which includes the new Iconic Tabaxi Trailblazer.
