Dungeons And Dragons Online Starts Testing The First Of This Year’s New Archetypes

The Dungeons and Dragons Online dev team has started testing one of the two new archetypes planned for the year as the Dragon Lord makes its way to the test server. The new fighter archetype will presumably make its debut as part of Update 66 which is also now available for testing on the Lamannia shard.

“Based on the Dragon Lord prestige class from 3.5E’s Dragon Magic book, the Dragon Lord is a Fighter archetype that models their tactics after the ferocity of dragons to demoralize and subdue their enemies. They excel in crowd control, defense, and Draconic power,” says Standing Stone Games.

Update 66 also features a destiny balance refresh, improved tooltips, and an experimental new combat mechanic in the form of ranged AoE attacks. The team also offered a preview of a new dungeon called Fred’s First Date which will be opening its doors in Update 67.
