Extraction Dungeon Crawler ‘Dungeon Stalkers’ Kicks Off Its First Playtest Next Month

The PvPvE extraction sub-genre is getting another addition to its ranks as South Korean video game developer Action Square announces Dungeon Stalkers, a third-person dungeon crawler that promises to throw even the most experienced dungeon delvers for a loop.
Players will not only need to make it out of the dungeon alive to keep their spoils, they’ll also need to contend with hostile players, destructible armor, external factors like the time of day and the weather, NPC vendors with limited item stocks, and random curses that completely change the mechanics of a dungeon.
“The dungeon created by the cursed witch periodically bestows curses that can completely turn the game upside down,” Action Square explains. “’The Witch’s Curse’ offers a wide range of effects, and some of these effects will ensure that even the strongest stalkers cannot let their guard down for a single moment.”
Action Square has yet to give a timeline for the game’s release, although the studio is already gearing up for its first playtest on November 28th. There’s no sign-up page yet, but the game is now available for wishlisting on Steam if you’re interested.
We’ll keep an eye out for any new developments. In the meantime, you can catch a quick preview of Dungeon Stalkers in the official teaser trailer below.
