Dual Universe Shines The Spotlight On Athena’s New Alien Core Units

When Dual Universe’s big Athena update rolled out late last month, it promised to set Helios ablaze with new PvP combat centered around the new Alien Core Units. Developer Novaquark is once again calling players’ attention to the resource-laden points of interest in a new feature spotlight video.

“Alien Core Units are a PvP focused gameplay feature introduced into Dual Universe with Athena. Players can claim, conquer, or trade for ownership of these cores and the ability to harvest their resources (new tier-5 materials and two types of tier-5 ore.)”

Once an Alien Core Unit is claimed, players must defend it from other players to continue harvesting resources and reap its benefits. Players are able to deploy Station Shields around the structure and set a defense time so they can gather to manually defend the core from attackers once the shields are broken.
