Drakensang Online Plans Steam Launch In November, Celebrates Its 11th Anniversary
I don’t know if you’ve noticed but old school MMORPG’s have been steadily making their way to Steam over the past few months. Drakensang Online is now also looking to make the jump in just a few months’ time.
Drakensang Online is an isometric, browser-based, medieval fantasy MMORPG that’s been operational for 11 years and one of the first games I reviewed when I started writing for MMOs.com seven years ago. The game has continued to receive regular content updates over the years, although the last content update seems to have been way back in 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Drakensang finally arrives on Steam as an Early Access game on November 16th. It will remain in Early Access for two months before officially launching on the platform. Hopefully, it’ll get more content by then.
Meanwhile, developer Bigpoint Games is marking the classic MMORPG’s 11th anniversary with the return of the Drakanian Anniversary Festival. During the event, players will be able to earn and collect Crystals of Truth that they can turn in for a variety of rewards. Players can also use the codes “LONGLIVEDSO11” and “PROGRESS” to claim additional rewards.
