Diablo 4 Rolls Out Its First Major Post-Launch Patch And Its Absolutely Massive

Blizzard has rolled out the first post-launch patch for Diablo 4 and it’s a massive one with a whopping 13-page patch notes. While it doesn’t include a single piece of new content, the meaty patch does introduce an extensive list of class balance tweaks, dungeon buffs, and fixes for the popular multiplayer ARPG.
The Update 1.0.3 patch notes that it significantly increased the experience points granted by Nightmare dungeons, although player feedback says otherwise. Players can also now teleport instantly to Nightmare dungeons. It also bumped up the damage and effectiveness of basic skill damages for all classes.
“These changes will not change the fundamental relationship between basic skills and core skills, but we hope that they help smooth out the leveling experience while we explore additional ways to strengthen them,” Blizzard explained. “We are also increasing the power of some skills that players feel are lagging behind their peers.”
Blizzard also revealed plans to increase the density of monsters and elite mobs in end-game content and will be looking into the survivability of minions and build balance.
The overall reaction to the patch, however, has been that of utter disappointment, with the community complaining about the seemingly insignificant change to basic skill damages and class adjustments. If you’ve got time, you can check out the full 13-page patch notes on the Diablo 4 official site.
