Diablo 4 Shares More Info On Seneschal Companions And Drops Season 3 Patch Notes
This week’s Diablo 4 developer livestream was chock full of information on what’s coming in Season of the Construct, including the new Seneschal Construct companions. According to the devs, the creepy crawly robot-like battle pets’ power will scale alongside its owner’s stats. You can then tweak and customize its stats and abilities to conform with your playstyle.
“Your Seneschal Construct companion will scale 1:1 with your own stats,” class designer Sean White confirmed on X. “Your attack rating is [its] attack rating. You crit is [its] crit, etc.” The companions themselves should grant underpowered builds a much-needed power boost. It’s not clear whether they’ll be able to tank mobs, which will undoubtedly prove to be extremely useful.
Season of the Construct will also introduce sweeping buffs for all five of the MMOARPG’s classes, although any buffs made to the Sorcerer and Barbarian classes will likely be negated by the nerfs planned for the admittedly overpowered classes.
The balance pass is expected to go live as part of a mid-season patch. The team also confirmed that plans to roll out two balance passes every season, one at the beginning of the season and another sometime in the middle.
