Diablo 4’s Pre-Order Beta Ends With A Laundry List Of Issues That Need Fixing

That’s a wrap for Diablo 4’s pre-order beta test. While it didn’t exactly go as smoothly as Blizzard (and players) would have hoped, it did give the developers much-needed data and feedback on things that they need to work on for next weekend’s playtest.

Some of the more pressing issues that need immediate attention include long queues, server problems, and unexpectedly high GPU and RAM usage on certain hardware, particularly on Nvidia 3080. Several Reddit users have reported their 3080’s getting bricked after being pushed to its limits, although the issue seemed to be specific to GPU’s manufactured by Gigabyte rather than a problem with the game.

Players have also complained about several gameplay issues such as class ultimate skills unnecessarily taking up its own hotbar slot which could have otherwise been used for a different skill to allow for more build varieties. Aside from the teething issues, however, testers seem to be generally excited for the next beta test and the game’s official launch on June 6th.

Further reading on the pre-order beta issues can be found on the Diablo 4 official forums.
