Diablo 4 Disables Player Trading Due To Another Gold And Item Duping Exploit

Crafty Diabo 4 players have found a new way to dupe items and gold, forcing Blizzard Entertainment to temporarily disable player trading until the issues can be fixed.

The said exploit is similar to the one used to transfer non-seasonal items to the seasonal servers which required exploiters to crash the game by disconnecting and reconnecting to the game’s servers after initiating a player trade and placing items or gold in certain slots. Upon reconnecting to the game, the said items will be returned to the exploiter but will also be in the other player’s inventory.

A timeline for when the exploit will be fixed and trading restored has yet to be announced but the team promises to inform the community as soon as the hotfix is deployed. They also assured players that they’ll be monitoring the in-game economy for any unwanted effects and will be taking action against those who were caught intentionally exploiting the bug. Those who were accidentally caught up in the exploit will be safe from any punishment.
