Diablo 4 Dives Into The Sweeping Adjustments And Changes Coming In Patch 1.1.1

As promised, Blizzard Entertainment has outlined the sweeping changes that they’ll be making in Diablo 4 to address the negative feedback that it received from its Season of the Malignant update. Players now have a reason to rejoice as next week’s Patch 1.1.1 will be all about improving classes and class-specific items, as well as increasing monster density in dungeons across the board.
Of significant note are the adjustments coming to the Sorcerer and Barbarian classes to make up for the massive nerfs that they received in Season of the Malignant. The Rogue, Druid, and Necromancer classes will also be receiving their fair share of tweaks but to lesser degrees. Druids can also expect reduced damage to their minions from certain monster attacks.
Other gameplay adjustments being made in Patch 1.1.1 include a complete revamp of Temerity pants and targeted changes to the Caged Heart of Spellbreaking. A compilation of the slides showcasing these tweaks can be found in this helpful Reddit post for quick reference.
Monster density will also be increased, particularly for nightmare-difficulty dungeons. The team offered a side-by-side comparison of monster spawns before and after the update and promises to monitor how this change will affect the endgame experience for those who’ve already created the perfect build for them.
Players can also look forward to a guaranteed legendary item drop from treasure goblins starting at level 15 and reduced cooldown timers for leaving dungeons. The team is also looking into ways to improve how ultimate abilities and other skills scale in endgame encounters.
Patch 1.1.1 is expected to drop on August 8th with the patch notes coming out a few days earlier on August 2nd to give the community time to review the changes before they go live.
