Diablo 4 Previews Its Upcoming Midwinter Blight Holiday Event And Rewards

Diablo 4 is paving the way for its first holiday celebration with a new developer video that offers more information about its upcoming Midwinter Blight event. The event will run from December 12th to January 2nd, with new seasonal cosmetics, a new title, and a new limited-time Aspect up for grabs.

Once the event goes live, players can make their way over to Kyovashad in Fractured Peaks where they’ll find a new area called the Midwinter Square and the event NPC, Gileon the Bard. Speak to Gileon to start the event quest which will task you with collecting event materials across Fractured Peaks.

Collected materials will need to be converted into Midwinter Proofs, the main event currency, which can then be used to purchase event rewards, including the new Shard of Dawn Offensive Aspect and a new potion called Gileon’s Brew. The potion also has a chance to drop from Midwinter Caches and grants a 15% boost to Max HP, Lucky Hit Chance, and XP gains.

Blizzard confirmed that all rewards earned from Midwinter Blight, including the new Aspect and potion, will still be usable even after the holiday event comes to an end. The Diablo 4 dev team dives into the details in the video below.
