Diablo 4 Season 2 Is Proving To Be An Extremely Bountiful And Loot-Filled Season

We’re now half a week into Diablo 4’s second season and players are now reaping the spoils from its new vampire-themed content. In fact, they’ve been raking in so much loot from the new Blood Harvest event that some have begun wondering whether it’s bugged.

Blood Harvests are limited-time world events that randomly appear across a large portion of the map and are essentially a revamped version of Helltides. Like in Helltides, the entire event area will be swarming with enemies that drop unique currency. Players will find three pedestals at the center of the area which can be activated to summon a group of bosses that drop a boatload of loot and are guaranteed to drop at least two legendary items.

Multiple legendary drops below level 50 were extremely rare prior to Season 2, and now they’re dropping by the bucket load. Blizzard president Mike Ybarra, however, has confirmed that the increased drop rate is completely intentional. He explained that loot drops between level 60 to level 100 are no longer gated and that players will obtain progressively better gear as they work their way up to level 100.

“Basically every level you gain, new and better loot is available. No more hitting level 60 and getting the 'same' stuff all the way to 100,” he said.

The only catch is that player inventories are filling up with legendary items. Not that anybody’s complaining. Enjoy it while it lasts because Blizzard will likely be changing things up again when Season 2 ends and Season 3 begins on January 23rd.
