Blizzard Entertainment has rolled out a hotfix for Diablo 4 that temporarily disables the Hatred’s Chosen buff, one of the most efficient PvP currency farming tools in the game.

To obtain the buff, you’ll have to kill a certain number of players on the Fields of Hatred PvP zone. Should you succeed in your murderous endeavor, you’ll be marked as Hatred’s Chosen and will be visible on the zone map for five minutes. During those five minutes, you’ll earn the PvP currency, Seeds of Hatred, with every successful strike which you’ll be able to cash in should you manage to survive until the timer winds down. Everyone will be out to get you though, as valuable rewards await those who succeed in stopping your reign of terror.

An undisclosed issue, however, has prompted Blizzard to remove the buff while they’re working on a fix. While the UI pop-up will still appear when the requirements are met, the buff will no longer be displayed above the skill bar, and the Seeds of Hatred rewards won’t be granted until the issue is resolved.

Meanwhile, the Fields of Hatred will remain accessible for PvP battles, allowing players to continue murdering each other even without the promise of the Hatred’s Chosen buff. Players can also still engage in other farming activities in Diablo 4’s endgame.
