David Brevik Is An Advisor For Path Of Exile's Chinese Launch

It turns out that David Brevik really isn't working on the Diablo franchise. After the announcement that he was an advisor for a "Diablo-like" title and subsequent shutdown of rumors that that title was a Diablo title, users searched the internet for any hint of what he might be working on. During their search, one Reddit user managed to uncover the truth: David Brevik is an advisor for Path of Exile's Chinese launch. The news went out today on Tencent's official website for the game.

The news was further confirmed by Grinding Gear Games Lead Developer Chris Wilson in the following comment on Reddit.

Keep in mind that Brevik's involvement, or lack thereof, in a new Diablo title does not mean that there is not a new Diablo title; it simply means that he isn't involved. We will likely have to wait until BlizzCon to find out whether or not the rumors are true. In the meantime, we wish Brevik luck in his new role at Grinding Gear Games.
