Dauntless Passes The 6 Million Player Mark In Just One Week
What’s better than reaching over 4 million players? Reaching over 6 million players of course! Last week, Phoenix Labs reported that Dauntless passed the 4 million player mark just a day after the game’s console and official launch. Just one week after launch, the numbers have soared to over 6 million players as the studio revealed in a recent press release.
“Phoenix Labs announced that Dauntless, the recently released free-to-play co-op action RPG, surpassed 6 million players within its first week - doubling its player count since the PC Open Beta. Phoenix Labs has worked tirelessly to expand player capacity, improve connectivity, optimize queue loads and iterate on player feedback.”
The monster-slaying game also hit a number of milestones during its launch week. In just 7 days, players have logged over 20 million hunts, a whopping 15 million hours of playtime, and over 13 million Behemoths slain. And, as a game that prides itself of being the only true cross-platform game, the studio reports that 60% of hunting parties were made up of cross-platform players. In addition, Ramsgate’s doggy duo, Bruna and Max, were pet “an incalculable number of times.” That’s a whole lot of… err, petting.
Dauntless officially launched worldwide on the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on May 21st bringing Phoenix Labs’ “One Dauntless” vision into reality. Want more interesting Dauntless launch week facts? Take a look at the infographic below.
