Dauntless Celebrates 4th Anniversary With Behemoth Hunts And XP Boosts

Dauntless developer Phoenix Labs might have recently fallen on hard times but that’s not stopping them from celebrating the monster-slaying MMORPG’s fourth anniversary. This year's anniversary extravaganza essentially mirrors the quest line from last year, paying tribute to the First Slayer while throwing in some extra goodies to sweeten the deal.

Players will once again go toe to toe with the game’s eight original behemoths to unlock the mother of all encounters, the Last Slayer’s Hope. This year’s rewards include the returning Firelight sword skin and the new Firelight Crown which can only be obtained from the final Last Slayer’s Hope encounter. Note that you’ll need to have completed the Slayer’s Path Milestone V: Light the Way to participate in the anniversary hunt.

In addition to the behemoth hunt, players will also enjoy double XP from all sources and extra bounty rewards. Players will also be able to take on repeatable event quests to earn extra in-game currency in the form of combat merits, patrol keys, and rams.

The said boosts will only be available for specific periods of time, while the event itself will run until June 1st. Details can be found in the full patch notes on the Dauntless official site.
