Darkfall: Rise of Agon is set to enter Early Access this Friday, December 16th. Considering it's been available in Closed Beta for some time now, however, you're probably wondering what's changing. The announcement defines Early Access as follows: "Early Access is the stage of development where we prepare ourselves for the official launch of the game." It's still a bit unclear, but let's move on.

During Early Access, players will have the option to pay $19.95 for unlimited Early Access access and one month's subscription at launch, as well as the forum title "Tester." Alternatively, you can pay a discounted rate of $4.95 per month to play during Early Access, whereas the game will cost $10.95 per month at launch. Fortunately, however, from December 16th to January 2nd has been designated as a free trial period, so you can once again log some hours in-game for free before deciding whether you want to pay for it or not.

Darkfall: Rise of Agon is expected to launch in either Q1 or Q2 of 2017. With the final release date up in the air, it seems that paying the $19.95 for unlimited Early Access access might be the way to go—granted you're planning to play for the full duration of Early Access.
