Dark And Darker Mobile Shares Info On Mobile-Exclusive Features Along With A New Trailer

In case you missed the news, Dark and Darker is making its way to mobile devices later this year courtesy of Krafton. According to the latest information dump and trailer, Dark and Darker Mobile will follow the same core gameplay loop as its PC counterpart with a few notable differences.

For context, the PC version offers a fresh take on first-person extraction shooters by substituting the guns for swords, shields, and magic spells, and the urban environments for dark and gritty dungeons you’d expect to find in your typical medieval fantasy MMORPG.

Players take their pick from one of five RPG classes before venturing forth into dungeons in search of valuable loot. The catch is that they’ll only get to keep the loot if they manage to make their way to a magic portal that will take them out of the dungeon, all while avoiding traps, fighting monsters, and battling or evading other players as a mysterious darkness slowly consumes the dungeon and everything within it.

In Dark and Darker Mobile, players will be given a choice of whether they want to engage in PvP during the dungeon run, essentially bundling non-PvP players together in a PvE dungeon. The mobile version will also feature a Sidekick system that will allow players to bring along AI-controlled companions who will also level up over time.

Mobile players will also have access to a pet system that will grant them various buffs before they enter the dungeon, as well as new endgame content in the form of high-level dungeons with unique loot and better rewards.

Krafton has yet to confirm a release date for Dark and Darker Mobile, but it’s eyeing a global release by the end of the year. It’s also unclear how the studio plans to monetize its version of the game. Based on Krafton’s portfolio though, it’s likely going to be free-to-play with microtransactions.
