Crowfall Divulges Details About Druid Powers

Yesterday, Crowfall developer ArtCraft revealed some new details about the Druid's power set. As a healer archetype, it is noted from the very beginning that Crowfall will not have what the article refers to as "firehose healing," or healing that "adds a multiplier to each combatant’s effective hit points." Instead, the Druid will feature "skill-style heals." There are various ways that this could be done thanks to a new set of mechanics added for the Druid, including hold to channel, hold and release to hit a target location, a single-hit projectile, and more.
One of the more unique mechanics in play is the Druid's use of two "power trays"—one for Life and one for Death. Healing abilities do not use resources, but instead generate Death Essence. If Death Essence ever reaches 80% full, the Druid will suffer Essence Burn, where they light on fire and take damage equivalent to 5% of their max health every three seconds until they die.
Life powers will include the ability to place orbs that explode and heal the first ally to run through them, the ability to blink, the ability to slow enemies' movement speed and cooldown times, projectile and AoE heals, and a shield called Bark Skin. The Life powers will be rounded out with a combo that increases the Druid's healing powers, gives group members a 5% damage increase, and causes the Druid to either have a 50% increase or a 50% decrease in Essence gain. Death—or Nuking—Powers will include a channeled lightning power, a DoT fire power, various multiple target lightning attacks, and a few others.
You can find more information about the Druid in the announcement.
