Conan Exiles Dives Into Building Changes Coming In Its Age Of Sorcery Update

As a survival game, one of the main goals in Conan Exiles is to build shelter and eventually your very own fortress of solitude. The good news is that building your fortress will soon become easier and much more efficient with the release of the Age of Sorcery update regardless of whether you’re using a keyboard and mouse or a controller.
Funcom’s latest dev blog outlines the changes that they’ll be making to the building system, including a dedicated user interface for building that’s separate from item management and crafting. Instead of crafting individual building pieces and placing them on the shortcut bar, players will be able to simply equip a Construction Hammer and enter building mode. The new building UI will also feature visual indicators that will allow players to see which building pieces they have the materials for and how many they can craft.
“Praise Crom, for the days of building pieces clogging up the shortcut bar are soon behind us! Construction Hammer equipped and materials collected (preferably from the bloody hands of your enemies)? You’re good to go.”
Aside from improvements to building, Age of Sorcery, as the update’s name suggests, will also introduce a magic system and magic-wielding classes along with their associated items and mechanics such as altars, rituals, and more. The update is scheduled to arrive sometime in Q3 2022. In the meantime, you can learn more about the changes coming to the building system on the Conan Exiles official site.
