Chronicles Of Elyria Studio Starts Alpha Testing A Feedback Form Instead Of The Game

Soulbound Studios, one of the most controversial indie studios in Kickstarted MMO history, has started alpha testing not for Chronicles of Elyria as promised, but for a feedback form of all things. The form is supposedly meant to help CEO Jeromy Walsh “understand community sentiment and priorities” as he works on a 2024 development roadmap for the still-in-development-to-avoid-another-lawsuit MMORPG.
“So much was completed in 2023 in engineering and in getting Soulbound Studios back on the right patch,” Walsh said on Discord. “I anticipate a very productive year in 2024, but I want to ensure I’m productive in the most important areas to you, the community. So submit those feedback forms as quickly as possible, and let’s have a great 2024!”
As expected, the announcement elicited extremely harsh reactions from the game’s disgruntled backers, especially since refunds are off the table. “My feedback: give me back my money,” wrote one Reddit user.
“Alpha testing a form… at this point he’s just being a d**k,” said another.
“That’s the opening quarter of 2024’s work completed and delivered. He’ll be helping out the local orphanage for the remainder of the quarter now,” another Reddit user chimed in, kicking off a hilarious thread of replies.
