CCR Files RF Online 2 Trademark

RF Online was originally launched in the West in 2006 as a pay-to-play title published by Codemasters. The service lasted only two years before being shut down when the license expired. Following the shut down, developer CCR decided to re-publish it itself before moving to GamesCampus. RedFox Games is currently publishing the title. Over the years, RF Online has developed a small, but dedicated, audience in its ten years running due to its sci-fi/fantasy hybrid setting, its RvR features, and the fairly unique ability to pilot mechs in an MMORPG setting.
Today, MMOCulture discovered that CCR has filed a trademark for RF Online II, a "downloadable software" title that is being made for multiple platforms. Interestingly enough, virtual reality is listed as one of those platforms.
No other information has been revealed as of yet. With any luck, CCR will make an official announcement soon.
