CCP Announces DUST 514 Follow-Up, Project Nova

Yesterday at EVE FanFest, CCP officially unveiled Project Nova, the free to play FPS that has been in development at their Shanghai studio. The Unreal Engine 4-powered game is a 6v6 shooter set in the EVE universe. Unlike its recently axed predecessor, DUST 514, the game does not connect to EVE Online in any way. CCP supposedly said at FanFest that they want to "'scale back' on the 'MMO ambition.'"
Attendees were able to play the game briefly. MMORPG.com describes the game as having "slower, tactical gameplay." There was a single map available, which takes place in one of EVE's many ships—maps set on planets and asteroids are supposedly planned. The goal was for one team to storm the ship and take control of several nodes while the other team aimed to keep them from doing so. A loadout system was utilized, allowing player to choose between light, medium, and heavy builds.
At this time, not much else is known about the game.
