Camelot Unchained Is Finally Taking Shape Says City State Entertainment
After being in development for more than 7 years, City State Entertainment’s PvP-focused medieval MMORPG Camelot Unchained is finally starting to come together. According to the latest monthly update blog, the developers have been focusing on growing their team and adding new systems and features to eventually make a complete game.
The team is currently focusing on improving game performance and implementing a more persistent character progression system that should roll over to future weekend tests. “We’ve had basic persistence forever, but in the upcoming sprint(s) we want you folks to see your character’s skills improve from server wipe to server wipe,” says CSE. “We’re excited to finally get to this stage but that’s the plan for now till we get it in and operating as expected.”
The developers also talked about the Dragon’s Web, NPC behavior stack upgrades, Giant races, time of day, Keep Champion NPCs, upgraded item restrictions, rendering improvements, server stability, pathfinding, bug fixes, and more.
City State Co-founder and Game Designer Mark Jacobs talks about the above-mentioned features in the video below. Additional information can also be found on the Camelot Unchained official site.
