Investigate And Exorcise ‘Smart’ Ghosts In Upcoming Co-op Horror Game Bureau Of Contacts

Heads up horror freaks! Ukraine-based VR developer MiroWin Studio has announced a non-VR four-player co-op ghost hunting game called Bureau of Contacts. It’s also the name of the game’s fictitious paranormal agency that’s tasked with investigating and confronting sinister supernatural entities.

“As an agent of the bureau, contact and investigate paranormal entities. The game cycle includes clear and sequential stages of investigation and exorcism, the success of which depends on effective teamwork and... your survival.”

The game’s main draw is its AI-controlled ghosts which react differently based on your actions and how you communicate with them. “Analyzing the behavior of players, the neural network acts as an invisible scriptwriter, determining the course of the game session and ensuring the diversity of its outcome,” the studio explains.

To help you confront and exorcise the entities you encounter, you’ll have access to an arsenal of spells, incantations, and exorcism rituals. You’ll also have to learn the different types of ghosts and their distinct behaviors to effectively banish them from the mortal realm. It’s not just ghosts that you’ll need to worry about as other players can also betray you and sacrifice you for their own ends.

Bureau of Contacts is set to launch into Steam Early Access in June and potentially on VR devices and consoles on full release.
