Blizzard Entertainment Issues Another Warning As Players Continue To Overpopulate World Of Warcraft Classic Servers
A massive flood of players have descended on the World of Warcraft Classic servers ahead of the game’s launch early next week causing Blizzard Entertainment a big headache as they try to keep server populations to manageable levels.
The studio is once again desperately urging players to basically shove off extremely populated servers, specifically the Herod, Faerlina, and Whitemane PvP servers, and join one of the less populated ones with a dire warning for those who wish to remain anyway. “[. . .] We have seen a regular trend where characters keep being made on Full realms,” warns Blizzard. “Each of the Full realms has a LOT of characters to the extent that it may be more than can fit into the queue system. As a result, you may not be able to get into the queue when you want to play and even if you do, it will likely be a very long wait.”
Blizzard is strongly advising players to move to either Blaumeux for west coast players or Skeram for those on the east coast. The studio also continues to reiterate that a “Low” server population by today’s standards would have been deemed “Full” back in 2006. “Any realm that is listed above Medium should expect queues at launch, with increasing severity from High to Full.”
