Blade And Soul To Unlock The "Secrets Of The Stratus" In April, 4 Million Players Since Launch

It's been more or less a year since Blade and Soul first launched in the West. As such, NCSoft Game Producer Nico Coutant starts the March 2017 Producer's Letter off by recapping the past year. As part of the recap, he notes that "over 4 million players have joined the Hongmoon Clan to pursue revenge." While it is not specified what that means, it seems as if it is referring to the number of users that have registered for the game or the number of users that have at least created one character.

The Producer's Letter also brings with it a major announcement: Blade and Soul's next expansion, "Secrets of the Stratus," will be going live sometime in April. Among other changes, it will bring with it Act 7 of the story, a new Gunwon City zone, an increased Hongmoon Level cap of 20, and three new PvE zones—Celestial Basin, Floors 16-20 of Mushin's Tower, and Naryu Sanctum. The expansion will also bring with it "a complete revamp of the skill point allocation system" that is said to "streamline how you specialize your character’s skills, while keeping the same level of customization depth."

Additionally, with the release of Secrets of the Stratus, players will be able to obtain Insta-Level 50 Vouchers that will allow them to "create a new character at max level and jump right into the fray."

Looking forward, 2017 will also see the release of "Act 8 of the story, a new class," a level cap increase, new dungeons, new raids, and more.
