Black Desert Online's Alpha Begins

In about two hours, Black Desert Online's Western alpha will begin. The alpha version "does not reflect the final state of the product at launch" and Daum note that "some features may be disabled or not fully functional." Nevertheless, it is finally here and players will get their first look at the official localization.

At present, the game requires 83 GB for a "smooth installation," although the client will only take up 27 GB. There is also currently a version issue with the launcher that the team is working on fixing.
